Let’s be real—studying can feel like wrestling with a sleepy sloth. If you’re constantly “studying” but somehow scoring like you wrote your answers in invisible ink, you might be making these classic rookie mistakes.

Here are 5 of them

1. Studying with Your Phone in Hand
You: “I’ll just check one TikTok.”
Also you: 3 hours later, you’re in a rabbit hole about medieval plumbing.

Fix: Airplane mode. Far, far away. Like, “buried in another room” far. Your Snap can survive without you for an hour. Probably.

2. Highlighting Everything Like It’s an Art Project
Why are your notes glowing like a unicorn sneezed on them?
If everything is important, nothing is.

Fix: Summarize. Rephrase in your own words. Your brain will thank you (eventually).

3. Cramming at 2AM With a Caffeine IV
Sleep is not optional, my friend. You’re not a robot—although your exam performance might say otherwise.

Fix: Try this ancient art called “studying in advance.” Yes, it’s hard. No, coffee can’t replace REM sleep.

4. Multitasking Like a Tech Bro in a WeWork
Watching Netflix + scrolling Insta + reading notes = mastering absolutely nothing.

Fix: One tab, one task, one less headache. Focus is the new flex.

5. Studying Without Breaks
Marathon sessions don’t make you a scholar. They make you a zombie with a to-do list.

Fix: Use the Pomodoro technique. Study 25, break 5. Repeat. Reward yourself with snacks. Or memes.

Final Thought:
Your brain isn’t broken, it’s just been mismanaged. Fix these habits, and you’ll go from “barely passed” to “whoa, I actually understood that.”

Let’s be real — you want to live your best life, but somehow your “morning routine” is waking up 12 minutes before a Zoom call and praying your mic is off when you sneeze. Mood.

But guess what? If you’re waiting for motivation to magically show up and fix your life, it’s not coming. Motivation ghosted us all. What does work? Habits. The boring little things that actually run your entire life.

Want to be more productive? Hydrated? Emotionally stable? (same)
Start with small habits. Emphasis on small. Like, “drink one glass of water that isn’t coffee” or “touch grass once this week.” It doesn’t have to be a full wellness influencer arc — no one’s asking you to cold plunge at 5 a.m.

The trick? Be consistent, not perfect.
Missed a workout? Didn’t meditate today? Cool. You’re not a failure, you’re just human — welcome to the club, we have snacks (mostly carbs).

Also, romanticize the crap out of it. Put on a playlist. Light a candle. Pretend you’re the main character in a movie called “Look At Me Making My Bed Like I Have My Life Together.”

Bottom line: tiny habits > huge chaotic attempts to “start over” every Monday.

Your glow-up isn’t coming. It’s already here. It just looks like flossing, stretching, and saying “no” to things that drain you. Iconic.

“Turn Dreams into Reality with Goal Setting!” https://yukisview.com/turn-dreams-into-reality-with-goal-setting/ https://yukisview.com/turn-dreams-into-reality-with-goal-setting/#comments Sun, 25 Aug 2024 10:00:00 +0000 https://yukisview.com/?p=527 Photo by Ronnie Overgoor on Unsplash Ah yes, dreams — those wild fantasies we cook up at 2 a.m. when we’re convinced we’ll be millionaires, have abs, a six-figure side…

Ah yes, dreams — those wild fantasies we cook up at 2 a.m. when we’re convinced we’ll be millionaires, have abs, a six-figure side hustle, and a golden retriever named Bentley by next summer. Cute, right?

But hey, spoiler alert: dreams don’t magically come true just because you lit a candle and made a Pinterest board. Shocking, I know.

Here’s the tea — if you want your “future CEO” fantasy to stop living rent-free in your brain and actually start paying the bills, you need to set goals. Real ones. Like with dates. And effort. Ugh.

Start small, okay? Don’t be that person whose to-do list starts with “Become billionaire.” Try “wake up before noon” or “drink water instead of iced coffee once this week.” Baby steps, babe.

Use the SMART method — yes, it’s an acronym, not just a flex:

  • Specific (No, “get life together” doesn’t count),
  • Measurable (So not “just vibe and see what happens”),
  • Achievable (You’re not becoming an astronaut by Friday),
  • Realistic (Be honest: gym at 5 a.m.? Really?),
  • Time-bound (Deadlines, not just “someday vibes”).

Set goals. Track progress. Reward yourself with something other than a three-hour TikTok scroll. Repeat.

Because let’s face it — your dreams deserve better than “manifesting” while binge-watching your 7th straight episode of a show you’ve already seen.

Go get it, future icon. 💅🏽✨

Are you on an epic quest to find happiness?
Like it’s a hidden treasure behind your couch or tucked under your third failed vision board? 🧭✨

Well, same. 🙃

I spent years chasing happiness like it owed me money.
Bought the books. Burned the sage. Drank smoothies that tasted like sadness and lawn clippings. 🥬💸

I even downloaded 14 different meditation apps, now I’m stressed about being stressed about not meditating.
Very Zen. 🧘‍♂️

You know what finally brought me a glimpse of joy?
Lowering the bar. Like… to the floor. 🪜

That’s right.
Turns out happiness doesn’t come from becoming a millionaire by 30 or finding your soulmate in a latte shop.
Sometimes it’s just remembering your Netflix password or discovering leftover fries in the bag. 🍟💡

I stopped hunting for “Big Happy” like it was a promotion.
And started noticing “Tiny Happy” — like petting a dog that doesn’t bark at me 🐶
(Thanks, tech overlords.)

Final Thought?

Maybe happiness isn’t a finish line, it’s just not crying in Target.
And honestly? That’s enough for today. 🛒💁‍♀️
