Everyone and their mom knows they should wash their face and wear sunscreen — congrats. You’re officially a skincare scholar (Level 1).

But let’s go deeper. Because your skin deserves more than just vibes, caffeine, and expired face masks from 2020. Here are real skincare tips no one’s yelling about on TikTok (yet):

🛏 1. Change Your Pillowcase Every 2-3 Days

Your face is rubbing on that thing for 8 hours a night (or however long you pretend to sleep).
Oil, bacteria, hair products — all just marinating there.
Silk pillowcases? Bonus. They help reduce friction and irritation.

📵 2. Wipe Down Your Phone Screen

That thing touches your face and has seen things.
Wipe it with a gentle alcohol-based cleaner regularly or use speaker mode like the mysterious little baddie you are.

🧻 3. Stop Using Rough Towels to Dry Your Face

Use a clean, soft microfiber cloth or air dry like the ethereal creature you are. Harsh towels = sneaky skin damage.

🧴 4. Apply Skincare to Damp Skin

Don’t wait till your face is drier than your group chat.
Moisturizer, hyaluronic acid, and toners absorb way better when skin is slightly damp.
Lock in that hydration before it runs for the hills.

🚿 5. Your Hair Products Might Be Breaking You Out

If you’re getting breakouts around the hairline, forehead, or back — that fancy conditioner could be the villain.
Look for non-comedogenic hair products, or tie your hair up away from your face when sleeping.

🧼 6. Double Cleanse — Even If You Don’t Wear Makeup

SPF, pollution, oil — all that stuff layers up.
Start with an oil cleanser or balm, then use your regular gentle cleanser.
Your pores? Unclogged. Your aura? Cleansed.

Bottom line? Your skincare routine doesn’t need to be expensive or aesthetic.
It needs to be smart, consistent, and a little bougie in hygiene.

Now go forth, mysterious glowy creature.
Your skin is about to enter its main character era.

You know that one girl who wakes up at 5 AM, does yoga, journals his dreams, and drinks hot lemon water?
Yeah, this isn’t that story. 🙃

My life was a hot mess burrito 🌯 wrapped in procrastination and deep-fried in poor decisions.
Productivity? Never met him. 👋

Then one day, out of sheer boredom (and maybe a sprinkle of existential dread), I decided to make my bed.
Yes.
MAKE. THE. BED.
That flat, motionless object that doesn’t care if you’re a success story or a walking cautionary tale.

🚨 Spoiler: it changed everything. 🚨

Suddenly, I was folding laundry like a Pinterest mom on espresso ☕.
I started showing up on time — to things I wasn’t even invited to.
I even answered emails.
Who was I??

It was like my bed-making habit hacked my brain and told it,
“Hey buddy, maybe we don’t need to live like a raccoon in a hoodie.” 🦝

Moral of the story?

You don’t need to move to Bali or chug kale smoothies to fix your life. 🌴🥬
Sometimes all it takes is 3 minutes, a blanket, and a passive-aggressive pillow arrangement. 😌🛌

Let’s talk about social media

The land of perfect skin, clean bedrooms, and people who “just woke up like this”

(but somehow already have contour, lashes, and a matcha latte in hand).

Meanwhile, you’re sitting there in bed, looking like a raccoon who just read their bank balance. You’re wearing a shirt that might actually be a towel, eating cereal with a fork because all the spoons are in the sink. And you’re wondering,

“Why is my life not ✨aesthetic✨?”

Because it’s real.

What you’re seeing online is not reality. It’s lighting, posing, 37 takes, and maybe some trauma hiding behind those “#blessed” captions. Don’t compare your rough draft to someone else’s final edit.

Also, plot twist: the girl doing yoga on the beach at 6am? Her tripod almost fell in the ocean. The guy with the Lamborghini? It’s rented—and he cried after returning it.

You’re doing just fine, bestie. Life isn’t supposed to be a 24/7 highlight reel. Sometimes it’s just you, your mess, and a to-do list you’re aggressively ignoring.

And that’s beautiful. In a chaotic, hilarious way😎.

Being Average Is Okay — But Staying There Isn’t 🚨
(aka: You’re Not a Failure, You’re Just Not Done Yet)

Let’s be real. Not everyone is going to be the next CEO, YouTube star, or TikTok motivational speaker who drinks green juice and “rises at 5am for success” 🕔. Some of us barely rise at noon and call that a win 🛌✨.

And guess what? That’s okay.
Being average is not a crime 🚫. You’re not behind in life just because you’re not out here building a brand, a business, and your glutes all at the same time.

But let’s also be honest: you weren’t born to settle into mediocrity like it’s a bean bag 🪑💤.
We all start somewhere—usually broke 💸, confused 😵‍💫, and emotionally attached to snacks 🍕. But staying stuck? That’s a choice. And not a cute one 😬.

Growth isn’t about burning out trying to be perfect 😵🔥.
It’s about being kind to yourself 🫶 while still calling yourself out 🫣.
Like, “Hey bestie, love you—but maybe let’s try doing one thing productive today before rewatching that show for the 4th time 📺🍿, okay?”

You can be a masterpiece 🎨 and a work in progress 🛠 at the same time.
So rest when you need 😴. Cry if you must 😭. But don’t build a condo in your comfort zone 🏠🚫.

Level up. Slowly, awkwardly, messily—whatever. Just move 🏃‍♀️💥.

Ever walked into a room, stumbled a little, or said something slightly off, and immediately thought, “Great. I’ve just embarrassed myself in front of everyone”?

Yeah, same.

I used to believe people were keeping score of every awkward thing I did. Every mispronounced word. Every weird laugh. Every moment I wasn’t “perfect.”

But one day, I asked myself:
“Wait a second… are they actually paying that much attention to me?”
Or—just maybe—are they too busy overthinking their own awkward moments?

Spoiler alert:
They didn’t even notice.

Let’s get one thing straight:

✅ Most people are way too focused on themselves.
❗ Your minor slip-ups are not breaking news.
👉 You are not on trial every time you speak, walk, or breathe funny.

Let’s break it down:

Did they notice you fumble a word?
❌ Nope. They were internally debating whether they left the stove on.

Did they judge your outfit?
❌ Doubt it. They were too busy trying to cover up their own sweat stains.

Did they care about your laugh?
✅ Maybe—if it sounds like a squeaky scooter. But even then, they’ll forget in five minutes.

The truth is, we all think we’re being watched more than we actually are.
It’s human nature.
But here’s the twist: everyone else feels the same way.

We’re all walking around, worried about being judged, while simultaneously too busy judging ourselves.

So next time you start spiraling, just remember this:

Nobody is judging you as much as you think they are.
They’re too busy worrying about whether you’re judging them.

Crazy, right?

Let’s talk about a fear most of us carry around like a second phone battery:

“What if I fail?”

It’s loud. It’s persistent. And it tends to show up right when we’re about to take a risk or try something new.

But here’s the thing…

Okay, what if you do fail?

But also—what if you don’t… and you still end up feeling miserable because you’re living someone else’s idea of success?

That’s the real fear: Fearing everything.
Even the backup plans.

So I asked myself a simple, rebellious question:

💥 “Wait… who said failure is the worst thing?”

Spoiler: Society did.
(Yes, the same society that once said low-rise jeans and glitter eyeshadow were the peak of fashion.)

So maybe it’s time to question what we’ve been taught.

🧠 The Truth About Failure

Here’s what I’ve realized:

✅ Failure isn’t the end.
❗ Sometimes it’s just a dramatic plot twist.

👉 Like when your Wi-Fi cuts out mid-submission and you end up starting your own business. (True story.)

Did I fail a few things?
✅ Absolutely.

Did the earth explode?
❌ Surprisingly, no.

Did I learn things the hard way?
✅ Of course. That’s how we build character (and, sometimes, anxiety).

So yeah…

🚫 Failure isn’t proof you’re not good enough.
🔥 It’s proof you had the courage to try something when others stayed silent, safe, or still.

When I was in school, I thought I was doing everything right.

I memorized the phases of mitosis, knew how to solve for “x,” and could list the causes of World War I in bullet points. I followed instructions, aced tests, and genuinely believed that if I did everything “right,” I’d be ready for the real world.

But real life? Yeah, it never handed me a syllabus.

No one prepared me for writing a resignation email without over-apologizing, or how to manage that awful sinking feeling when your savings hit a new low.

They didn’t teach me how to stay calm during a Zoom interview when the Wi-Fi suddenly drops… or how to reply when someone sends “let’s circle back” in an email you don’t understand but pretend to.

And don’t get me started on taxes.

It hit me somewhere between job rejections and burnt-out evenings that school prepared me for exams — not existence.

And honestly? I wish they’d included a few more practical chapters.

Like:

  • How to say “no” without guilt.
  • How to self-soothe when anxiety shows up at 2:07 a.m.
  • How to balance ambition with actual sleep.
  • How to ask for help before you collapse.

But maybe life isn’t something you prep for in a classroom. Maybe it’s a mess you slowly figure out by tripping your way through it.

Here’s the thing: there are no grace marks in adulthood. No one’s handing out gold stars for surviving heartbreak or losing your job and still showing up the next day.

That doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It means you’re learning. The hard way, sure. But still learning.

So if you’re fumbling through things you thought you’d “have figured out by now,” you’re not behind — you’re just human.

School gave us facts. Life gives us plot twists.

And we’re all doing our best with the pages we were never taught to read.

Ever feel like everyone’s just… ahead?

One friend is launching a startup. Another just got promoted. Someone else is posting engagement photos with the perfect caption.

And you?

You’re staring at a half-filled Google Form, wondering why your brain suddenly feels like it’s buffering.

Been there.

I used to spiral into that comparison loop, thinking, “I’m so behind.” Like life was a race and I forgot to wear my running shoes.

But then it hit me: if life really is a race… where’s the finish line?

After a mini meltdown (and two hours of overthinking while pretending to be productive),

I realized something simple but freeing:

🌟 Everyone moves at their own pace.

Your friend who just bought a house? Amazing. Your cousin who just figured out her passion at 35? Equally amazing.

⏳ Timing matters. But not in the way we think.

Look at nature.

Do flowers bloom at the same time? ❌ Nope.

Do we stress if a rose blooms later than a daisy? ❌ Also nope.

Do we eat mangoes in December? ❌ Not unless we like disappointment.

So maybe… just maybe, you’re not behind.

You’re just on a different track. And honestly? That’s more than okay.

📌 Because life isn’t a race.

It’s more like a giant, confusing group project — where nobody really knows what they’re doing, some people fake confidence really well, and the deadline keeps changing.

So take a breath.

Do your Google Form (eventually).

And remember: blooming late is still blooming.

Being a teenager in India is like being stuck in a never-ending family WhatsApp group.
Everyone has advice. Everyone knows what’s best for you.
And you? You’re just trying to survive school, pimples, and awkward relatives asking about your “future plans.” 🙄

Let’s be real — teenage life is full drama.
One minute you’re chilling, next minute your mom is shouting because you left one spoon in the sink. 🍽

But don’t worry. Here are a few simple life lessons to help you survive these crazy years :

🤫 1. Everyone Is Confused – Not Just You

Even that topper kid who always gets 98.7%?
Yeah, they also Google “how to be less awkward in public.”
Nobody knows what they’re doing, adults just act like they do.
So relax. You’re not alone.

🫣 2. Mistakes Will Happen – And That’s OK

You’ll say something stupid.
You’ll follow one cringe Instagram trend.
You might even text “I like you” to the wrong person. 😬
It’s normal.
Learn, laugh (later), and move on.

🧠 3. Being Smart is More Than Just Marks

Sure, your board exam marks matter, but life also needs common sense.
Like how not to fight on family group chats, how to save money, and how to cook Maggi without burning it. 🍜
All are important skills.

😤 4. You Don’t Need to Have All The Answers

Adults will ask, “Beta, what’s your future plan?”
Feel free to reply:

“Uncle, I just want 8 hours of sleep and maybe a stress-free Sunday.”

It’s okay to be figuring things out. Nobody gets a map for this stuff.

💖 5. Being Kind is Not Weak

In today’s world, where people fight online 24/7,
being nice is actually cool.
Smile, help someone, don’t troll people on Instagram.
Good vibes > Bad vibes.

Coming to the conclusion

You’re not a failure. You’re not behind.
You’re just learning — like everyone else.
Just try not to take life (or CBSE rankings) too seriously.

And haan, don’t forget to charge your phone.
Battery khatam = full panic. 🔋📱

My maturity is like my Wi-Fi—unstable, but now and then, it delivers something brilliant.

Growing up doesn’t come with a manual—or a medal. You don’t wake up wise one day. You just start seeing what you didn’t know before.

So here’s a short letter to my younger self—and maybe to you, too.

1. “Positive-ish” Thinking Actually Helps

Nope, it’s not magic. Thinking positive doesn’t fix your problems, but it does give you the strength to face them better.
It’s not about ignoring the bad—it’s about believing things can still turn out okay. That belief? It matters.

2. It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

You don’t have to be strong all the time.
Crying? Normal. Taking a break? Smart.
You’re not a background character in someone else’s story—own your emotions. That’s real strength.

3. Stop Pleasing People

You don’t have to make everyone happy.
Say no when you mean no.
Set boundaries.
The people who truly care won’t need you to shrink yourself just to be loved.

4. Independence Builds Confidence

Learn to stand on your own.
Make your own choices.
Try, fall, get back up.
The more you rely on yourself, the stronger you’ll feel—trust me.

5. You’re Already Beautiful

Your reflection or social media doesn’t measure your worth likes.
Your laugh, your kindness, your weirdness—that’s your real glow.
Own it.

Final Thought

You don’t need to have life figured out.
You need to keep growing, keep learning, and give yourself grace.

One day, you’ll look back and say, “Wow, I made it through that.”
And that’s enough.
