Ever walked into a room, stumbled a little, or said something slightly off, and immediately thought, “Great. I’ve just embarrassed myself in front of everyone”?

Yeah, same.

I used to believe people were keeping score of every awkward thing I did. Every mispronounced word. Every weird laugh. Every moment I wasn’t “perfect.”

But one day, I asked myself:
“Wait a second… are they actually paying that much attention to me?”
Or—just maybe—are they too busy overthinking their own awkward moments?

Spoiler alert:
They didn’t even notice.

Let’s get one thing straight:

✅ Most people are way too focused on themselves.
❗ Your minor slip-ups are not breaking news.
👉 You are not on trial every time you speak, walk, or breathe funny.

Let’s break it down:

Did they notice you fumble a word?
❌ Nope. They were internally debating whether they left the stove on.

Did they judge your outfit?
❌ Doubt it. They were too busy trying to cover up their own sweat stains.

Did they care about your laugh?
✅ Maybe—if it sounds like a squeaky scooter. But even then, they’ll forget in five minutes.

The truth is, we all think we’re being watched more than we actually are.
It’s human nature.
But here’s the twist: everyone else feels the same way.

We’re all walking around, worried about being judged, while simultaneously too busy judging ourselves.

So next time you start spiraling, just remember this:

Nobody is judging you as much as you think they are.
They’re too busy worrying about whether you’re judging them.

Crazy, right?

Let’s talk about networking—that magical skill you’ve heard about but lowkey think is just corporate speak for “talking to strangers on LinkedIn.”

But here’s the truth: networking isn’t about collecting contacts, it’s about building real connections. And in this social media era where everyone’s screaming “Look at me!”, being genuine? That’s rare. That’s gold.

So, Why Does Networking Even Matter?

Because opportunities don’t always knock. Sometimes they DM.
Jobs, collaborations, mentorships, your next big idea- all of them often come from people, not just posts. And no, this isn’t reserved for business bros or influencers in suits.

How to Network Without Feeling Like a Robot:

1. Be Curious, Not Cringe.
Don’t slide into someone’s DMs with “Hi, can you help me get a job?” That’s like proposing on the first date. Start with a compliment, ask a thoughtful question, be human.

2. Engage > Scroll.
It’s not enough to like a post. Comment something real. Share it. Tag someone. Make the creator feel seen. That’s where the magic starts.

3. Give Before You Ask.
Share someone’s work, offer help, send a resource. And it’s how strong relationships are built.

4. Show Up Consistently.
Networking isn’t a one-night stand. It’s a slow dance. Whether it’s Twitter, LinkedIn, or a group chat—show up, be present, be kind.

Real Talk:

Networking is not about being the loudest. It’s about being memorable, authentic, and intentional. In a sea of highlight reels, the realest one stands out. So be that person. Make connections, not just content.

You never know, one message, one comment, one honest conversation can change your entire path.
